Watch the pre-visit video
Dr. Dansie walks you through what happens before and on the day. All instructions and videos
What to bring
- Your dental insurance card and a photo ID
- A list of the medicines you take, including vitamins and supplements
- Any recent x-rays from your dentist or orthodontist, if the office asked for them
- An adult to drive you home if you're having oral or IV sedation
- A parent or guardian, if the patient is under 18
Eating and drinking
Your instructions depend on the sedation you choose. The office gives them to you when you book. Follow them exactly, especially before IV sedation. If you're unsure, call the office before your visit.
On the day
- Wear comfortable clothes. If you're having IV sedation, a short-sleeved or loose-sleeved top makes it easier.
- Plan to rest for the rest of the day, and have soft food ready at home: mashed potatoes, yogurt, pudding, soup that isn't too hot.
- Read the aftercare steps ahead of time so you know what to expect.
Health history forms
The office where you're treated sends you its health history and consent forms. Fill them in before your visit to keep check-in short.
We never ask for health details through this website's contact form. Your health history goes only through your office's secure forms.
